Frequently asked questions

How the install works, what we need from the site, and how a quote is built.

Ask before we walk the site

Cabling questions are usually about the building. These are the ones we hear most.

The work

What is included in a typical cabling project?

A site walk, the pathway, the cable, termination, labeling, and test results. Racks and patch panels are included when the closet is part of the scope.

Can you work around an occupied office?

Yes. We schedule pulls and ceiling work so the building can stay in use, including after hours when the site needs it.

Will the existing cable plant be disturbed?

We trace what is in use before we cut or remove anything. Live circuits stay up unless a cutover is part of the plan.

Do you handle more than one closet?

Yes. A single room, a full floor, a warehouse, or campus fiber between buildings is the same kind of work.

What cable types do you install?

Cat6, Cat6a, and Cat7 copper, plus multimode and single-mode fiber, and the racks, panels, and pathways those cables land on.

On your site

How do you handle access to our building?

We follow your site rules: badges, escorts, after-hours windows, and whatever the facility requires before we enter a closet.

How is the work documented?

Labeling matches the patch panel, and you get test results for the runs we install.

Are drawings and closet photos kept private?

Site photos, floor plans, and as-builts are for your project. We do not publish them.

How do we reach you about a project?

Email info@omniprotechnologies.net or use the contact form and we will set a site walk.

What if we need more drops later?

Moves, adds, and changes use the same labeling and test standard as the original install.

Quotes

How do you price a cabling job?

By the building: drops, distance, pathway, fiber, and closet hardware. We quote after a site walk. There is no monthly plan.

Can the quote match our drawings?

Yes. If you have prints, we bid to them. If you do not, we walk the site and mark the drops with you.

What if the drop count changes?

We price the change before we pull extra cable.

Do you only pull cable, or do you build the closet too?

Both. We pull cable, and we set racks, cabinets, patch panels, and fiber shelves when that is part of the job.

Can we expand the plant later?

Yes. We label and document so a later add lands on the same system.
